Welcome to Play & Train!

Why Play & Train?

Basic Obedience: Play & Train is a training meets playtime program. Dogs participating in Play & Train focus on learning basic obedience on leash, as well as building leash skills and manners.

Leash Manners: Is walking your dog more stressful than fun? This program is designed to address issues on leash and implement the training tools that work best for you and your best friend. Walking your dog should be a positive experience, we are here to help facilitate that!

Socialization: Play & Train is a hybrid program, including playgroup in doggy daycare as well as private time with a trainer. A behavioral evaluation is required prior to the beginning of this program, to ensure that our daycare facility is a good fit for your dog. Socializing with humans and dogs is a vital part of Play & Train.

Understanding New Tools: The option to train with a Slip Lead and/or Herm Sprenger Prong Collar is available in this program, and will be discussed prior with your trainer. These tools are designed for increased communication between you and your dog as we start to teach them (and you!) their new skills. Usage of training tools will be discussed with parents prior to beginning training. We believe in finding the best tool(s) to fit you and your dog’s individual needs, with the goal of facilitating a happy, healthy and balanced relationship with your best friend.

It’s About the Relationship: Our award winning training team is not only here to teach and train your dog - we are here to support you! Through communication, homework and ongoing support our aim is to teach you how to engage and build your relationship with your best friend through play, practice and leadership!

How do the Humans Learn?

Our Play & Train is structured to have our award winning trainers do all of the teaching and training for you - so you get to do the fun part of practicing at home!

Through homework and communication from your trainer, pet parents receive direction on what their puppy has learned and how to follow up and practice at home!
